Effective Impact Mentoring Testimonials

Hear what previous mentees have to say about the program ...

  • My expectations were to meet talented female professionals. That has been great and everyone’s willingness to be open and willing to support me has far exceeded my expectations.

  • My mentor is exactly what I hoped she would be when I joined the program. She offers guidance, lends me her ear and introduces me to people that she thinks might be helpful to me in my career. I find our conversations personally and professionally rewarding.

  • I know how to respond better to challenges at work.

  • It has broadened my perspective, expanded my knowledge-base and enhanced both my personal and professional development.

  • The selection of my mentor has exceeded my expectations. Her interest in me and my career has exceeded my expectations.

  • My mentor has made significant efforts to stay in touch with me, to engage in meaningful discussions and to share her own professional insights as they relate to my interests and goals.

  • It has given me more insight and more awareness of what women are doing in the community. I have always worked in male-dominated environments and have had little exposure to what other women are accomplishing.

  • Especially as someone who is not from the Baltimore area, the program opened up a community with which I was unfamiliar but that embraced me fully. From interactions with my mentor, leadership and other mentees past and present, Executive Alliance provided an unrivaled growth and development experience.

  • I knew that the Executive Alliance "Effective Impact" Mentoring program was going to positively influence my life both personally and professionally before I even applied. Referred by a friend and former colleague, I was immediately thrust into challenging capabilities, strengthening my skills and refining areas of improvement. Doing so, openly alongside the other mentees from other companies and industries, brought a greater level of truth and accountability without judgment. Each and every session provided learnings that were immediately applicable in the workplace.

  • My only expectation was the chance to meet with and learn from exceptional women. I’ve been impressed with the level of professionals who are included in this association. My only disappointment is my own time limitations. I wish I would have more time to take advantage of the opportunities to meet with other women in the group.

  • My mentor has met with me for every scheduled appointment and has tailored the time dependent on the discussion. She has recommended specific publications that will help me map out my goals and define my strengths and weaknesses. She is also introducing me to other women in leadership roles to obtain other perspectives.

  • I have enjoyed being a part of this program. I think the formal classes are good, and I never would be pursuing a position on a board if I hadn't been a part of this program.

  • I met some wonderful role models and "sat at the feet of masters..." The lessons learned have been indelibly etched in my heart and mind. They have also helped to shape me as a confident professional and individual. This has spilled over into my roles as a wife, mother, sister, etc.

  • I always had a vision for my future. The question was, "how to get there?" My mentor gave me the push I needed to bring that vision within reach. My successes over the past year are a result of the lessons learned through the mentoring program.
